Deathblight Jormungandr v0.61 update - released for early access tier

Welcome to the 0.61 Loki update! ^^

The 0.61 update is currently available for Early Access tier supporters:

The update will be made available for the other supporter tiers in about 1-2 weeks, depending on if there are bug reports and if I need to do fixes etc. ^^
(there will be a new post announcing when that one goes out)

Doing this update took me longer than expected as I ran into some bugs and issues along the way.
Both in regards with the CG gallery, but also with the way enemies move in RPG Maker on the map, and how events (like combat) trigger and everything.

There's also been the entire Steam situation and me making sure the SFW-mode runs properly of course.
(the link has the full NSFW version, but you can toggle SFW in the options)

Anyways! It's finally done, so here it is, enjoy ^^

Changelog:
- CG gallery implemented.
You can find it inside the empty building in the village.
CGs are unlocked by defeating the bosses in both areas.

- Stalker pauses when player is in dialogue.

- Poison Tentacle Flowers pause when player is in dialogue.

Note on regular enemies:
Other enemies still move when in dialogue as that is RPG Maker's "default" for normal enemies, but they can't start a fight while you are in a dialogue.

- Added icons to some skill descriptions to visualize what they are good against.
Only for skills that interact with enemies, e.g. "Counter".



Next up will be my work on the 3rd and final area for the game.
Which will be Village Ruins with Draugrs and Spider-like enemies.
Once that is achieved, that will mark the full version of the game, but it will take several months to get there ^^

I still have to do the writing for all enemies and CG scenes in the new area.
As well as doing the mapping, the story writing and everything else.

Thus I can't name a definite release date at this point.
But you can make some educated guesses based on how long it took me to make the 2nd area, the Cursed Forest, as it will roughly take the same amount of time to make the 3rd area ^^

Deathblight Jormungandr progress report July 2025



Hello everyone ^^

This month went quite unexpected, and I'll just go to address the elephant in the room directly.

As you all heard, there was this case of Steam being forced by VISA/Mastercard to ban NSFW games.
And this news obviously required us to look at the matter and figure out what's going on, as well as decide how we want to deal with the situation going forwards.

Rest assured! We believe that we have the situation under control.

Here's why:
Deathblight Jormungandr actually has a SFW-infrastructure coded into the game already.
As I have forseen problems like this happening, specifically after what happened 2020 with Deathblight RPG and Patreon.

When we signed up with Shady Corner Games as publisher, we decided to go full NSFW and pause work on the SFW-mode for Deathblight Jormungandr.
But the SFW code has been left in the game, intact.

So all that's needed to do now is to ensure the SFW-code works as intended and the game is playable in SFW, as well as the usual NSFW mode.

Since the infrastructure for this is already existing in the code, this causes minimal problems for us.
Delays for sure, but the game remains INTACT as you know and love it.

As of current news, we plan to release a SFW version on Steam, and then also release a free NSFW patch to "restore" it to the full, uncensored content as usual.

So in conclusion, the game content is the same as always.

We merely got delayed in July, which is why the 0.61 patch happens sometime in early August instead.

Deathblight Jormungandr and future projects will be containing our usual content, and we'll secure ourselves by offering SFW versions + free NSFW patches for our games in the future.
So no need to worry about that ^^

And as long as Subscribestar allows us, we'll release the full NSFW version there.

Deathblight Jormungandr Progress Report June'25

Welcome to the progress report for June ^^

What's the plan for the next month?

The plan is to collect feedback during the next 1-2 weeks.
And then looking which feedback can be included for a 0.61 patch.

A CG gallery is already on the list!
Assuming there are bug reports, the plan is to fix as many (preferably all of them) as possible for the 0.61 patch.

Not all feedback fits the vision of the game and some things are too big (time consuming) to include.
But I'll do my best to fit in as much as I can for 0.61.

Ideally, we aim for a 0.61 update drop in late July.
(Early Access tier, and then 1-2 weeks later on the other tiers as usual)
But if there's a lot of feedback to process, this may take a little longer than that.

After 0.61 dropped, the plan is to go back into content development and creating the 3rd and final area of the game, which will take several months.
(of course there will be the usual monthly progress reports)

This will push Deathblight Jormungandr to version 0.9, before polishing it for the official 1.0 launch later this year ^^

Deathblight Jormungandr - Version 0.6 - Cursed Forest Update (Progress Report)

Hello and welcome to the 0.6 Loki update post ^^

We just handed out the updated game to our Early Access supporters, linked here:

Other supporters of our Game-Subscribestar will receive the 0.6 update in about week or two ^^

There's no intention to make the update available to the general public.
As the 1.0 version will be released on Steam, DLSite and other places.

Naturally, those elligible for a Steam key will get the 1.0 release with the Steam release ^^



Now for the actual update contents:


This update contains an entirely new area with new enemy variant and entirely new enemy, CG scenes and all.
And it pushes the game to about 66% complete.
(100% complete would be the 1.0 version)

You can visit this area immediately when starting a new game.
As the idea is that in the final version of the game, you can directly go into any of the 3 areas in whichever order you want to.

The Cursed Forest is a maze that is meant to be confusing to navigate.
However, you can find hints in the form of notes that tell you the right direction to take.

Other than that, it also comes with a stalker-type enemy that chases Loki across maps.
It can be defeated in combat, but it's a tough foe that you want to avoid if possible.

Managing to get to the goblin village and winning the bossfight gives Loki access to a new potion vendor.
Beware that these are strong potions with some downsides to make things more interesting ^^

There's also some secrets to find in the Cursed Forest, like a new skill for Loki to use in combat.

- New bossfight in the Cursed Forest
- New potions (Berserker Elixir and Elixir of Stamina)
- New potion seller NPC (unlocked by winning bossfight)
- 5 new hentai CG scenes (2 Combat CGs, 2 Game Over CGs, 1 Event Game Over CG)

Deathblight Jormungandr Progress Report May'25

 Hello everyone! ^^

Just a very quick progress report post this month:
The actual progress report will be posted in a week or so.
When the 0.6 update is actually done and available for supporters.

Note:
It's being handed out to high tier supporters first as "Early Access", then a bit later to the other supporters, but it's not going to be made public.
People who are elligible for a Steam key will get their key for the 1.0 Deathblight Jormungandr (Loki Game) Steam release.


I figured it wouldn't make sense to make an elaborate post "now", and then have a quite shallow post for the 0.6 release.

Hence why I figured I'd do this way.

So yeah, unless there's any unforseen delays, the 0.6 release is imminent.

Deathblight Jormungandr Progress Report April'25

Hello everyone ^^

This month (April) was more productive as I finished the CG scene writing for all enemies, game overs and the Event CG that is used in the Cursed Forest of the upcoming new area.

For the writing on the CG scenes:
I finished the goblin trapper writing last month.

So, more specifically, this month's writing was in regards to the "Swamp Monster" which is chasing Loki through the Cursed Forest.
The combat CGs (meaning in combat CG scenes used in grabs) narrative is about Loki getting railed by this abomination and her slowly falling to the pleasure.
The respective game over CG shows what happens after she lost to it in combat.




 Finally, the event CG is about a tentacle plant capturing and lewding Loki inside of it.
You can see the CG by falling for the trap by having your HP hit 0 when you are near it.


I also reworked some of the maps of the Cursed Forest, so the Stalker-type enemy (Swamp Monster) that chases Loki across the maps is less likely to get stuck.

I also made some new maps for the Cursed Forest, but I'm not quite done yet.
Currently I'm testing if 12 maps are sufficient or if I need to expand it to 16.
This requires a bunch of testing and back and forth.
But I'm slowly getting there.

Once that is done, I need to polish the maps by placing decorations, which serves no "function" but it's important to make it look as best as can be.
(and that can be quite time consuming)

Finally, the dialogue for the story, between Loki and the goblins need to be written.

Testing the new area will also take significant amounts of time.

But the new area is almost done and, once playable, will be shipped out to the $ 20 tier on our Game Subscribestar for testing and feedback.

Likely after polishing that one up, we'll be releasing it to the other tiers.

The Cursed Forest release will mark the game at 66% done.
(and the final area will make it 100% done, but that is for later this year)

There will be no further "public releases" of the new builds.
Outside of the Game Subscribestar, we'll be releasing the full 1.0 version on Steam, DLSite and potentially other websites when it's done.

Deathblight Jormungandr Progress Report March'25

Hello and welcome to the progress report for March! ^^

As some folks may have seen, Cres and I (Wolfenstahl) decided to take it slow with things mid-March.
We've been working 6-workday weeks for 2 years by now, with no vacation or proper breaks, so we had to tone things down for 2 weeks to catch our breath.

Subsequently, I didn't get as much done as I originally hoped for.
But I feel the relaxed pace did help me with my creativity (which otherwise I was lacking) and I managed to write decent hentai scenes for DB Jormungandr.

Roughly spoken, the stress causing a lack of creativity created a situation where I write "generic hentai dialogue", then am dissatisfied with it, so I rewrite it later.
And I realized that, when I took some time off to relax, I had better ideas for a proper dialogue.
So... as much of a workaholic I am, I'm kinda coming to terms with the fact that pushing myself too much, is probably not something I should be doing...


Anyways, the "Trapper Goblins" are fully done now, including their hentai scenes.

I am about halfway through the "Swamp Monster" hentai scenes.

And then there's still work left to do for a sort of "tentacle plant" event CG scene.

The month still has a couple workdays left.
So I hope to finish at least the Swamp Monster scene before April.

The plan for April is to proceed with the mapping and potentially dialogue writing for the story.
We are slowly, step by step, finishing the new area/dungeon ^^

As for the Steam page for Deathblight Jormungandr, it should also be released sometime in April, so people can wishlist it then.
But more on that in next month's progress report.
